Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Buyer
Job location: Orlando, FL
Job duration: 6 months of contract with the possibility of extension.
Description: The client is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Buyer that will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of the essential workload including but not limited to requesting quotations, negotiating pricing (within the Delegation of Authority thresholds), issuing and ensuring accuracy of the order, GL account, project number, relevant notes and requirements for the Purchase Order and any related documentation. You will be responsible for securing the best procurement solution (quality, price and timing), meeting the customer needs while aligning with relevant strategy.
In this position you will also have the responsibility of managing disputes that may arise throughout the process.
Key Areas of Responsibility
• Convert purchasing requests into purchasing orders.
• Make sure that suppliers acknowledge P.O. receipt and provide delivery commitment.
• Follow-up and expediting of Purchase orders.
• Ensuring accuracy of the purchase order in the ERP system (dates, quantity, schedule delivery lines, ship to location, supplier information and relevant notes/comments).
• Responsible for ensuring all Supplier Accounts Payable do not fall into past due status. Assists the Finance department by resolving invoices issues/discrepancies to ensure timely accurate payment
• Prepare reports (open orders, IMAP invoices, rejections, etc).
• Parts Shortages - manage action and escalate shortages. Manage parts critical list. Implement and lead recovery meetings/ Tiger teams.
• Assist the team with inventory reductions efforts (managing purchasing order cancellation, rescheduling in/out or PO information change).
• New Tariffs rules, requiring support from purchasing to clear Customs shipments
• As part of the integrated project/program team, perform assigned roles and responsibilities
• Be prepared with your input that effects Past Due customer orders
• Lead actions to improve customer OTD.
• Manage workload while being compliant to established department KPIs
• Provide updates as requested: Collaborates with any required internal areas (Engineering, Repairs, Planning, Warehouse, QA, etc.) providing updates as requested
• Ability to drive issues to closure with minimal supervisor
• Resolve discrepancies with parts certifications (8130-3, CoC, EASA) to clear rejections and request RMA
• Be a backup when another team member is absent
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related is required. May consider years of experience and education in lieu of degree.
• 3+ years experience requesting quotations, negotiating pricing (within the Delegation of Authority thresholds), issuing and ensuring accuracy of the order, GL account, project number, relevant notes and requirements for the Purchase Order and any related documentation
• 3+ years experience responsible for securing the best procurement solution (quality, price and timing), meeting the customer needs while aligning with relevant strategy. Buyers also have the responsibility of managing disputes that may arise throughout the process.
• Strong analytical skills
• Must have strong problem-solving and organization skills and be able to drive assignments to successful conclusion.
• Extensive Proficiency with MS Office especially Excel

Preferred Qualifications
• 3+ years in purchasing or supply chain experience
• Demonstrated experience managing a wide catalog of suppliers and commodities.
• SAP Experience
• Aviation/Aerospace supply chain experience
• Excellent communications, organization and influencing skills
• Extensive Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Visio, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc...)
• Able to interpret engineering parts list, drawings and BOM (Bill of Material).
