Job Summary:

As a Senior Merchandiser, you will drive the strategic direction and financial performance of product categories, ensuring alignment with broader company objectives. You will lead end-to-end category strategies, from product innovation and sourcing to pricing, assortment planning, and go-to-market execution. Collaborating across teams, you’ll optimize site merchandising, leverage customer insights, and manage supplier relationships to maximize sales, margins, and customer engagement in a fast-paced eCommerce environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Category Leadership and Strategy Development: Develop and lead end-to-end category strategies aligned with company goals. Define assortment architecture, productivity targets, pricing strategies, and seasonal priorities to drive sales, margin, and customer engagement.
  • Business Ownership and Financial Accountability: Own category performance, including sales, margin, and SKU productivity. Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities, implement growth plans, and deliver against financial targets. Lead category forecasting, performance tracking, and reporting.
  • Product Innovation and Development: Source and develop new products that deliver a best-in-class assortment. Manage the full product lifecycle across long-lead overseas and short-lead domestic timelines to ensure speed-to-market, trend alignment, and profitability. Champion supplier-led innovation to continuously evolve the offering.
  • Supplier Management and Sourcing Strategy: Manage strategic supplier relationships to support business goals. Optimize and expand the supplier base, negotiate costs, and identify cross-sourcing opportunities to drive margin growth and enhance supply chain resilience
  • Site Merchandising & User Experience Optimization
  • Leverage expertise in site merchandising to optimize product placement, website navigation, and content for maximum user engagement and conversion. Collaborate with digital teams to enhance the online shopping experience and drive sales growth.
  • Customer and Market Insights: Leverage customer data, market trends, and analytics to inform strategic decisions. Identify emerging opportunities, assortment gaps, and white space to stay ahead of consumer demand and market shifts.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy and Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Digital teams to execute seasonal campaigns, product launches, and promotions. Ensure alignment across all touchpoints to drive category visibility, customer engagement, and financial performance.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or related field

Experience :

  • 5–8 years of merchandising or category management experience, with a strong emphasis on eCommerce or digital-first retail
  • Proven track record of owning financial performance and delivering growth across multiple product categories
  • Experience developing and executing end-to-end assortment strategies, product launches, and go-to-market plans
  • Strong background in product development and sourcing, including managing both long-lead international and short-lead domestic supply chains
  • Hands-on experience with site merchandising, including product placement, navigation, content optimization, and user experience to drive conversion and engagement
  • Deep understanding of digital analytics, customer behavior, and performance levers in an online environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with Tableau is a plus.
