About the Job:

We are currently looking to hire a Senior Manager, Strategy & Insights !

The Strategy & Insights function supports the company in its effort to be a consumer and customer-centered organization with a clear strategic vision. We provide strategic clarity and precision in cross-functional partnership efforts with our Category, Brand, Commercial, Category Management, R&I, Analytics and Sales teams. We drive rigor and understanding of consumers, shoppers, categories, customers, products, competitors and cultural trends. In this key role, you will be responsible for shepherding the strategic growth and business planning process, overseeing current strategy and innovation insights work and the development of new systems to propel the organization forward.

The role will report to the Director of Strategy & Insights, as key part of the Marketing and business management team. The Senior Manager will need to quickly establish expertise and be comfortable taking a stand to influence decisions with high level stakeholders. This role will offer the opportunity for the right candidate to leverage current skills and develop new ones by gaining experience with all aspects of the Insights functions:

This is a hybrid position with an expectation of 3 days per week onsite in Broomfield, CO.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Consumer Insights & User Experience:

  • Serve as the primary driver for all consumer insights and sensory work related to existing base business and innovation: e.g. brand perceptions, consumer segmentation, demand landscape, consumer illumination, concept optimization & validation and product sensory and user experience testing, etc.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, analyze trends and syndicated data, and provide actionable insights to inform decision-making about product development, positioning, packaging design, and marketing strategies
  • Manage relationships with insights and sensory research providers to support the business
  • Partner with the Brand, R&D, Commercial, and Category Management teams to integrate consumer feedback into new product initiatives from opportunity identification, ideation, and development to commercialization
  • Partner with Brand, Category Management, and Commercial teams on various questions or analyses needed, providing a clear point of view based on an understanding of consumer needs.
  • Provide mentoring and training on insights best practices across teams
  • Work with the Director to build vision and systems for Horizon approach to insights across the organization

Strategic Growth and Business Planning:

  • Partner with Strategy & Insights Director on development, refinement, and execution of the company's overall multi-year growth strategy
  • Work with the Director on direction and vision for the Strategy & Insights Team

The base compensation range for this position is $135,000 - $150,000 commensurate with experience.

About You:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree required (marketing, strategy, or related field preferred). 8+ years in Consumer Insights and Product Sensory, or related roles, in QSR, retail, CPG, or research firms. Experience in food tech, innovation, or startups is a plus.
  • Consumer-Centric Expertise: Proven track record using insights to drive brand strategy, innovation, product development, and business growth. Skilled in both quantitative (e.g., surveys, concept validation) and qualitative (e.g., focus groups, IDIs, ideation sessions) research methods.
  • Sensory & UX Experience : Knowledge and understanding of key sensory methodologies such as central location tests, in home use tests, product benchmarking utilized to help inform product development
  • Strategic Thinking & Communication: Strong ability to synthesize data into clear, actionable insights and influence strategic decisions. Comfortable developing and communicating a strong, objective point of view with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Adept at partnering across functions, managing third-party vendors, and integrating primary and secondary data sources. Experience in client-side CPG or working closely with CPG clients preferred.
  • Project & Change Management: Self-starter with strong project management skills who thrives in evolving environments. Able to work autonomously and manage ambiguity in a newly restructured organization.
  • Innovation Mindset: Curious, flexible, growth-oriented, and open to emerging methodologies and analytical approaches.
  • Tools & Tech: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
