Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for a broad range of in-house legal matters, including reviewing and negotiating international commercial contracts, supporting corporate transactions, and advising on internal operational issues. To succeed in this role, the candidate should be comfortable working independently in the U.S. while collaborating with global legal and business teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, particularly client and supplier service contracts
  • Support business teams in client engagements and contract negotiations
  • Provide legal support for mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and post-completion activities
  • Advise on internal legal matters including commercial contracts, employment-related agreements, equity arrangements, corporate policies, and data protection
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and outside counsel as needed
  • Operate independently while consulting with global legal leadership
  • Contribute to the ongoing integration of acquired businesses and support broader growth initiatives

Qualifications:

  • J.D. and admitted to practice in California, Texas, or New York
  • Minimum 4 years of post-qualification legal experience at a reputable U.S. or international law firm
  • Prior in-house experience, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth environment
  • Broad legal generalist with strong experience in commercial contracts, including intellectual property, data protection, and liability/indemnity issues
  • Familiarity with corporate governance and internal compliance matters
  • Excellent communication, drafting, and judgment skills
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Confident, proactive, and able to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture
