Job Description

Veterans Management Services, Inc. (VMSI) is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support key project initiatives across client engagements. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of project management principles, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and be eager to contribute to project planning, execution, and delivery within a collaborative team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage daily activities of assigned projects, ensuring tasks remain within scope, on schedule, and aligned with established budgets.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Support the development of detailed project plans including timelines, resource allocations, and budget considerations.
• Facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and align expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track deliverables and ensure successful task completion.
• Maintain all project documentation and artifacts in accordance with PMO standards.
• Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to leadership and stakeholders.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships.
• Support senior project staff in organizing team responsibilities and ensuring smooth project operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related technical field
• Experience : Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a project coordinator or junior project manager role
• Project Management Tools : Familiarity with project management software and task tracking systems
• Technical Skills : Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
