Must-haves

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of medical imaging equipment
• 2 year degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent experience required. This requirement will be waived if the applicant has a biomedical related certification program.
• Valid drivers license required; variable travel requirements depending on primary site that may require use of personal vehicle

Day-to-Day

The Imaging Engineer II is responsible for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and verifying the performance of various complex medical imaging equipment. This includes general radiographic rooms, R/F, portables, C-arms, mammography, Nuclear Medicine, CR, DR, ultrasound, bone density, and supporting equipment. The role also involves ensuring regulatory compliance, assisting with inventory management, and advising on technical matters.

Technical Service (40%):

• Perform inspections, maintenance, and verification procedures on imaging equipment.
• Repair, install, and calibrate imaging equipment. Update supervisors on repair status, inspections, and any issues.

Regulatory Compliance (25%):

• Ensure the equipment database is accurate and up-to-date.
• Adhere to regulatory compliances and policies.
• Complete and document all service activities accurately.
• Work with Medical Physicists to ensure radiation outputs meet regulations.

Account Relationship Management (25%):

• Build and maintain customer relationships.
• Discuss equipment status with clinicians.

Inventory (10%):

• Inspect and maintain inventory, including common failure parts.
• Verify security analysis for new equipment.
• Perform incoming inspections to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Make inventory recommendations.

Compensation:

$37/hr to $55/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
