Job Description

This position reports directly to the Head of School and is a key member of the administrative team at Stanbridge Academy. 

Preferred Characteristics: 

• Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management or Education.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with students, parents, faculty, and staff
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, while also able to work independently
• Detail-oriented, flexible, and organized with demonstrated initiative
• Well-versed in technology and various software suites
• Ability to create presentations and reports for a variety of constituents using Blackbaud, Raiser’s Edge, Google Suite and/or Apple technology

Essential Job Duties:

• Take a lead in public relations, marketing, and advertising decisions; develop materials for school publications and other communications 
• Create content and keep material up-to-date on our internal and external websites
• Oversee weekly e-newsletter to our internal and external communities
• Contribute to the overall life and community of the school wherever and whenever appropriate through work with students, families, faculty and the Board of Trustees
• Other Duties, Special Projects and Events

Supervise/ Oversee Marketing Communications Manager 

• Weekly School Bulldog Bulletin e-newsletter
• Parent SPA mail
• Alumni outreach
• Social Media presence
• Stanbridge YouTube channel

Requirements:

• Exhibits a cooperative team approach, complete with a good sense of humor 
• Displays initiative, internal motivation, a willingness to take on responsibilities beyond those explicitly defined, and an ability to learn new and established procedures
• Executes responsibilities efficiently, accurately by deadlines
• Demonstrates excellent and effective written and verbal communications with an array of constituents: administrators, faculty, parents, trustees, vendors, consultants, and friends of the school
• Exhibits sound judgment related to confidential conversations, projects, and information 
• Support and participate in Advancement Department, Administrative and School-wide events and meetings, as needed

Community Events and Engagement:

• Supports the planning, coordination, and onsite logistics of community events and committees 
• Provides marketing and onsite support for fundraising, donor cultivation, and stewardship events, including the Gala, Donor Appreciation and Special Celebrations
• Occasionally works nights and weekends to support events like the Gala and back-to-school night
