About the Role:

The Director of Rooms at Tolovana Inn will play a pivotal role in overseeing the management and operations of all room-related services within the property. This position is responsible for ensuring that guests receive exceptional service and that the rooms are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. The Director will lead a diverse team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability while implementing best practices in room management. Additionally, this role involves working with the General Manager to optimize occupancy rates and revenue generation through effective pricing and marketing strategies. Ultimately, the Director of Rooms will contribute significantly to the overall guest experience and the financial success of the property.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel leadership role - Guest Services and Housekeeping 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with revenue management systems and strategies.
  • Branded hotel experience

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the rooms division, primarily front desk. 
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Manage profitability through budgets, forecasts, and financial performance of the rooms division. 
  • Lead, train, and mentor staff to ensure high levels of service and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and a cohesive guest experience.

Skills:

The required skills for this role include strong leadership and communication abilities, which are essential for managing a diverse team and ensuring effective collaboration across departments. Problem-solving skills will be utilized daily to address guest concerns and operational challenges promptly. Additionally, a keen understanding of hospitality trends and customer service excellence will guide the Director in implementing innovative strategies to enhance guest experiences. Preferred skills, such as familiarity with revenue management systems, will aid in optimizing pricing strategies and occupancy rates.
