As a Verification Underwriter, you’ll support the underwriting and funding process by verifying key documentation and assisting with risk assessments. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in contract verification and review
Conduct basic background checks using TLO or CLEAR
Perform phone verifications, such as landlord verification and merchant interviews
Review and verify bank login data and supporting documents
Support the analysis of credit reports, bank statements, and merchant statements
Help with UCC and legal searches
Coordinate with underwriters to ensure smooth processing
Requirements:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in the Merchant Cash Advance industry required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills (both phone and email)
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general computer applications
Willingness to learn and grow within the underwriting team
