Job Title: Temporary Accountant (3–6 Months)

Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team on a temporary basis for 3 to 6 months . The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of hands-on experience in accounts receivable (AR) , accounts payable (AP) , collections , and journal entries . This role is fully onsite in Houston, TX , and requires a proactive, confident professional with excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal departments and external vendors/customers.

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of AR/AP and general accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP )
• High attention to detail, strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work independently

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle daily AR/AP transactions and general ledger entries
• Manage customer accounts and perform collections activities
• Prepare accurate invoices and reconcile discrepancies
• Support month-end close with journal entries and reconciliations
• Maintain and update financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve payment issues
• Assist the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and cross-functional coordination

Work Schedule:

• Onsite in Houston, TX
• Monday to Friday, standard business hours
